In 1975 Doctor Who was at the height of its gothic horror period, under the guidance of producer Philip Hinchcliffe and script editor Robert Holmes. This pairing would be the architects for some of the series’ most enduring images, and Pyramids of Mars is packed with them; not least the marauding murderous robot Mummies.
More than forty years on, cast and crew reunite to share their memories of the production in a brand new commentary for all four episodes. Additionally we present a bonus track for episode one featuring professional writers.
Moderated by actor, comedian and cult television enthusiast Toby Hadoke, this release features Nick Burnell (Mummy), George Gallaccio (Production Unit Manager), James Burge (Floor Assistant), Philip Hinchcliffe (Producer) Joseph Lidster (Audio Writer) and John Dorney (Audio Writer).
